This is going to be the shortest post yet. Actually there isn’t much to write. Mostly spend time outside today so didn’t do much work and exploring. Actually I felt a bit sad that the view counts are pretty low. Seems like my efforts are going to waste. But I guess I shouldn’t let that sway me.
But still, feels a bit disappointed. Maybe that’s why I’m slowing my progress. I’m still making this blog post though. So that’s something.
Other than that, I spent about an hour trying to create a national park posters for Hoh Rainforest. I have some ideas for it. Started with a super basic prompt. And ended up with a decent prompt. The generated picture was of WPA (Works Progress Administration) style, which I learned is what most national park posters use.
But then I changed my mind and try to use the niji style, but the result is actually quite bad. I guess there’s no rainforest in Japan, so there’s no artwork similar to it? Then I switch over to a new style, which is the geometric wireframe (black strings on red) style, but Midjourney couldn’t understand it. I’ll need to find a better prompt for it.
My focus will my Olympic National Park for a very special reason. I’ll try and generate as many posters as possible for it.
Now that I look at it again, the niji style actually looks pretty good. Also, I’ve added some text using Microsoft Designer to immitate the real posters. Here is what it looks like:
